Good Article About the Honda Civic
This article features some of the reasons so many love the Honda Civic:
It's tough to believe that this spring Honda will introduce the ninth generation of the Honda Civic -- especially since the eighth generation still looks fresh, and still sells quite well.
Unlike a few other manufacturers of smaller, entry-level vehicles like the Civic, Honda has done a very competent job of offering a variety of models within one nameplate. We have the base Honda Civic DX, the slightly nicer LX and the deluxe EX. There's the Civic Hybrid and the Civic GX, which runs on natural gas. There are two-door coupes and four-door sedans.
And there's the Civic Si, which has long stood as perhaps the best example of an economy car that offers transportation, and then some. The Si model debuted as a little hatchback in 1986, not much more than a regular Civic hatchback with bigger tires and wheels and a little more horsepower -- a whopping 91 horses under the hood, which even then didn't seem like many.
